Special Educational Needs (SEND)
A student has special educational needs if she/he has a learning difficulty which calls for special educational provision to be made for her/him.
Special educational provision means:
- Educational provision which is additional to, or otherwise different from the educational provision made generally for students of their age in schools maintained by the Local Authority, other than special schools;
- Special educational provision is applicable to a student who is under the age of nineteen and is a registered student at a school.
SENCo: Mr. Jeremy O'Donovan
Please email admin@bishopjustus.bromley.sch.uk to contact SENCo.
SEN information provided by the Local Authority and can be accessed on the COVID-19 SEND Matters page on the Bromley website here.

Covid-19 Online Support and Resources
There are links to advice re COVID-19 as well as some information on resources and update on services on the Bromley Mencap website https://www.bromleymencap.org.uk/coronavirus-covid-19-latest-update/
Attached is a booklet called “Behaviour at Home” that you might find helpful. It does rather push their online course, so do just ignore those bits!
From the same source, Beacon School Support Ltd, there are emotion cards (also attached). The full instructions (on how to play the game they are intended for) don’t appear to be free, but you can use the cards as a resource with more able children and young people.
For younger children or for those with less language, you could use a 5 point scale to show emotions – put “5 point scale” into a search engine, then choose “images” to find one that works for your child. See https://www.autismwestmidlands.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/1403678560_6VisualResources-FivePointScale.pdf for more information and some examples
