Uniform

We expect students to take pride in their personal appearance and in wearing their school uniform. Their clothes should be clean, smart and shoes should be polished. Attention to personal hygiene and grooming are also important.

The wearing of a smart school uniform is central to good discipline and to the ethos of the school and therefore committed to full uniform for students in Year 7-11.

Properly fitting, sensibly styled shoes are essential for students who spend much of the day on their feet. Such shoes provide for safety and comfort. Trainers, sports shoes and other non-regulation footwear may not be worn to, form or around school.

In the event of an unavoidable and temporary emergency resulting in a student being without the correct uniform, parents are asked to ensure that their child arrives with a note of explanation.

We value your cooperation in resisting the vagaries of fashions which can often be extreme and expensive.

  • All students must wear school uniform at all times.
  • Any clothing worn underneath shirts and blouses for warmth should not be visible.
  • Items of clothing must not bear slogans, badges etc unless specifically authorised by school.
  • Hoodies are not permitted to be worn on school site at any time.
  • No make-up including false nails may be worn by students in years 7-9. Lighter make-up as judged by the student support team is acceptable in year 10-13 although false nails may not be worn.
  • It is advised that students wear a wristwatch to school, this will avoid checking mobile phone for the time and having phone confiscated.
  • Jewellery - Students may wear a wrist watch but should not wear any other item of jewellery, even if not normally visible. This includes rings, necklaces, bracelets, studs and other piercings including retainers. This does not apply to any medical alert bracelets.
  • Only school pins to be worn on the school blazer

Year 7 students wishing to wear uniform B will wear either a white open necked blouse or a white shirt with a tie.

All students will be able to wear a plain black polo shirt for their PE lesson.  If students choose to wear a hoodie, they must wear the hoodie with the school emblem.

A REMINDER THAT SCHOOL TROUSERS AND SKIRTS MUST BE DARK GREY/CHARCOAL AND NOT BLACK.

Uniform can be purchased in-store or on-line from our authorised sellers; Graduates.
