Teacher of Music - Fixed Term

Immediate start - Fixed term appointment until 24th May 2019.

Salary: MPS/UPS

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented, highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join our successful music department on a fixed term basis.  We are looking to employ an inspirational individual that has a real passion for music.  You will be able to enthuse, inspire and challenge students to produce the highest outcomes.  This position is suitable for someone who wants be involved in an active department and add to the huge variety of extra-curricular activities that are currently available for students.

The current music team is supported by a Music Technician, and fifteen peripatetic staff.  The Music Department is housed in purpose-built, state of the art accommodation, and comprises two large main teaching spaces, two recording studios, a rehearsal room, four ‘break-out’ rooms and three peripatetic teaching rooms.  The department is well equipped with keyboards, tuned and untuned percussion, sequencing software (Logic/Sibelius) and multi-track recording facilities.

As well as Key Stage 3 music, AQA GCSE is offered at Key Stage 4 alongside NCFE Music Technology and Edexcel A level Music and Music Technology are both run in the sixth form.  Over one hundred students receive individual instrumental tuition from peripatetic staff each week and tuition for all types of instruments is available.  In addition to the varied curriculum, frequent trips to musicals and classical concerts take place every term as well as an international tour.

Extra-curricular activities feature strongly during lunchtime and after school.  Concerts are held throughout the year which include performances from the Jazz Band, Recorder Consort, Chamber Orchestra, Concert Band, Choir, Ukulele Orchestra, Chamber Choir, as well as smaller instrument specific groups.  Many of our students also participate in the activities offered by the renowned Bromley Youth Music Trust with which we are an Accredited Music School. Performances in the local area also feature predominantly due to our reputation within the borough.

Teacher of MFL- French & Latin

We are seeking to recruit a talented teacher of French and Latin to join our MFL department, with the ability to teach students of all abilities across key stages 3 to 5.

We are looking for applicants with a commitment to outstanding teaching and learning. This post is appropriate for newly qualified as well as experienced teachers.

You will have a love of languages and the desire and ability to convey this to students. You will be dynamic and energetic, and committed to the aims and ethos of a church school.

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work collaboratively as part of the MFL team, in a school that fosters academic success within a stimulating and happy environment.

Teacher of Maths - Maternity Cover

Required for September 2019 for a fixed term of 1 year

We are looking for a teacher of Mathematics who can demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, teach inspirational lessons and have the drive, passion and teaching dynamic to make a significant contribution to our school. We are open to applications from ambitious newcomers or experienced teachers. The purpose for this fixed term position is to cover a maternity leave within the department.

We want students to become Mathematicians; to enjoy taking a real world problem and creating and applying mathematical models to aid understanding, to understand it as the tool and language of commerce, engineering and other sciences, to recognise patterns, and to understand the world around us!
