Year 12 students on our Career Ready CV/Leadership Enhancement programme participated in its launch event in the city on 7/12/17.  The event titled, Capital Experience was set up to introduce students to the UK-wide Career Ready network of students, professional volunteers and potential future employers.

The morning was spent at the Dominion Theatre, Tottenham Court Road with over 1,500 students from across the country. Speeches were made by Action Jackson, a Motivational Speaker, the scheme’s CEO, Career Ready alumni and employers including, Sir Mark Boleat, Chairman of the City of London Corporation's Policy and Resources Committee. There was opportunity to network with other students and professionals. The students were also given an insight into the world of work and employment opportunities, demonstrating to them that there should be no limit to their career aims and aspirations.

In the afternoon the students visited ElixIRR, a management consultancy firm in Cheapside where they had presentations on networking and employability skills. It was interactive, fun, educational and very inspiring employer visit. The employer contacts were very impressed by our students. Well done to them for being great representatives of Bishop Justus.
