Clear victory for Labour in Bishop Justus election

Clear victory for Labour in Bishop Justus election

As the politicians sank into turmoil and uncertainty, the picture in our school mock election was much more straightforward. Caitlin in Year 9 won for Labour with 305 votes, followed some way back by Josh (Year 8 -Conservative) on 112, Alex (Year 9 - Green) with 92 and John (Year 10 - Liberal Democrat) on 38. Huge congratulations to all candidates for their efforts in campaigning, those who stood earlier in the process, those who helped out and to Mr Allen for his hard work in bringing things to fruition.

From Friday 6th-Monday 8th May, 14 Bishop Justus students took part in their Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award in the New Forest. Established in January 1996, the organisation utilises the high-profile status of football and football players to publicise its message. Across Britain, Show Racism the Red Card delivers training to more than 50,000 individuals per year.   The students really enjoyed all the activities and thanks to the lead...

    Berlin Trip 2017

    Berlin Trip 2017

During the Easter holiday 31 intrepid 6th formers set off for a four day visit to Berlin to support their A level History studies of Germany 1918-89. We enjoyed this extraordinary city of contrasts and tensions - looking at the Holocaust memorial right in the heart of the tourist area, and pondering whether it was 'working' if people were taking selfies and jumping from block to block; following the path of the Berlin Wall and considering the risks, planning and desperation involved in trying to cross it and get to the west; enjoying a few hours in the sophisticated suburb...

Bromley Girls Represent at the London Youth Games - Girls Rugby

Bromley Girls Represent at the London Youth Games - Girls Rugby

On Thursday 16th March, myself and Mr Taylor took 22 girls to the London Youth Games Rugby Tournament, competing and representing Bromley in the U13 and U15 age divisions. They were brilliant! Our standard of rugby improved throughout the day with both the U13s and U15s coming up against some brutal opposition, but the girls tackled low, passed accurately and scored some brilliant trys! The U13 team finished 10th out of 18 London teams (coming runners up in the trophy competition) where they won 2, drew 2 and lost 2 with some outstanding plays by all the girls. Special mention must...
