KS4 Curriculum

The core curriculum secures a broad and balanced basis from which students can progress to A level, level 2 and 3 vocational study, training, apprenticeships or employment.   All students need English and mathematics qualifications to progress onto many other courses or into employment.   Most core subjects are taught in ability sets. Generally a student in sets 1, 2, and 3 are following an Extend curriculum; those in sets 4 and 5 follow an Improve curriculum and those in sets 6 and 7 follow a Realise curriculum.
